Custom Controls & Automation
Controllers, workflows, automation, tailored tools
edelkrone
Create custom controls, connect anything to motion, share what you build, or simply ask edelkrone anything.
edelkrone MCP turns ChatGPT or Claude into an interface for your edelkrone ecosystem. Tell AI what you want to control, automate, or connect, and it can use the edelkrone SDK to build the logic, guide the setup, and create custom workflows around your gear.
Connect software, controllers, sensors, vision, sound, triggers, data, or almost any other input to motion. The same connection can also help with products, setup, compatibility, support, orders, feedback, and more.

Other devices can move your edelkrone gear. And your edelkrone gear can drive other devices.
Use a game controller, a smart-home event, a sensor or another device as the trigger. Drive a slider or head with a PlayStation controller, start a move when someone walks in, or keep several devices moving in sync across your studio. Build it around exactly what your setup needs.
Your devices continuously report motor states, positions and data from the onboard accelerometer. Use that stream to trigger lights, sound, cameras or software at exactly the right moment. Your gear becomes an input to your system, not just an output.
Connect your gear to Dragonframe for stop-motion animation, or send live positions into Unreal Engine, Cinema 4D and more, so the real camera and the virtual one move together.
Add dev boards and off-the-shelf sensors. A distance sensor can teach a unit to stop by itself. You can also build new accessories and add-on modules that talk directly to your edelkrone devices.
SDKs used to be tools for experienced programmers. With AI, you describe what you want in plain words, and ChatGPT or Claude builds it with the edelkrone SDK: a custom control, an integration, even a complete app.
Each of these ideas starts with one sentence.
Let me drive my slider and head with my PlayStation controller.
Start the move when my motion sensor sees someone walk in.
Set up my slider for a stop-motion shot in Dragonframe.
When the head reaches this angle, turn on the key light and start the music.
Stop the slider by itself if the distance sensor sees anything closer than 30 cm.
Move my slider back to the start position.

We believe this is where things are heading: people talking to every company through that company's MCP, from their own assistant. We're a hardware company, and we chose to build ours now instead of waiting.
Not sure where to start? Connect edelkrone MCP and ask your chat what it can do.
edelkrone MCP gives AI the context, documentation, and examples it needs to understand the ecosystem. Underneath it, the edelkrone Python SDK communicates directly with compatible motion equipment over Bluetooth Low Energy. Developers can work directly with the SDK; everyone else can simply describe what they want and let AI handle the technical implementation.
Describe what you want to build, control, automate, or connect. ChatGPT or Claude can write the code, guide the setup, and help make it work.
It takes about a minute. Your assistant asks you to sign in with your edelkrone.com account.
