edelkrone MCP Terms of Service
Version 2.1 (draft). Effective on the date it is published at connect.edelkrone.com.
These terms apply when you connect an AI assistant to the edelkrone MCP server at connect.edelkrone.com (the "Service"). The Service is operated by edelkrone USA Inc. ("edelkrone", "we"). By connecting, you agree to these terms.
1. What the Service does
The Service lets an AI assistant you choose, such as Claude or ChatGPT, work with your edelkrone account and with edelkrone's developer resources. The Service is free. It can:
- show your profile and the edelkrone Devices linked to your account;
- give installation and safety information for the edelkrone SDK;
- search the SDK documentation, provide example programs and help solve errors;
- provide the edelkrone Firmware Development Kit (FDK);
- submit Applications to the edelkrone Software Store.
The Service never moves a device. Programs that move devices run on your own computer.
2. Your account
You connect with your edelkrone.com customer account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens through your connection. Do not share your connection, your account or the access it gives with others. You may disconnect an AI assistant at any time from your profile at connect.edelkrone.com.
3. Free access and fair use
All features of the Service are free for anyone with an edelkrone.com account. The FDK is available to accounts with at least one edelkrone Device registered, after the FDK License and Confidentiality Agreement is accepted. To keep the Service available for everyone, edelkrone may set reasonable limits on how much it can be used.
Content you receive through the Service is covered by the edelkrone SDK License Agreement and, for the FDK, by the edelkrone FDK License and Confidentiality Agreement.
4. Your AI assistant
Your AI assistant acts on your behalf. You are responsible for the actions you ask it to take and for reviewing the code it writes before you run it. The SDK documentation contains safety rules for motion code; your assistant receives them through the Service. Before running code that moves a device, make sure the motion path is clear of people and objects and that you know how to stop it.
The AI assistant is provided by its own company under its own terms. edelkrone is not responsible for how that company handles the information that passes through your assistant.
5. Information we use
To provide the Service, edelkrone uses:
- your name, email address and customer number from your edelkrone.com account;
- your orders on edelkrone.com, to identify the devices you own;
- device serial numbers you add to your account;
- the list of AI assistants you have connected, and when you connected them;
- which of these terms and other edelkrone agreements you have accepted, which version, and when;
- a sign-in session for connect.edelkrone.com, stored only in a protected (hashed) form;
- a record of account events, such as sign-ins, connecting or disconnecting an assistant and accepting an agreement, which we keep for security and troubleshooting;
- short-term technical logs kept by our hosting provider to run and protect the Service.
We do not store the questions your assistant sends to the Service or the answers it receives.
We do not sell this information. The edelkrone privacy policy at edelkrone.com explains how we handle personal information in general.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- access another person's account or information;
- overload, probe or attack the Service, or bypass its access controls or usage limits;
- copy the documentation or the FDK in bulk to publish or share it;
- break applicable law.
7. Changes and availability
edelkrone may add, change or remove features of the Service, and may update these terms. We will publish changes at connect.edelkrone.com. The Service may be unavailable at times for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. edelkrone may suspend access that breaks these terms.
8. No warranty and liability
The Service and the information it provides, including answers your assistant forms from it, are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, edelkrone is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the Service, and its total liability is limited to 100 USD.
9. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, except where the consumer protection laws of your country require otherwise. Questions can be sent to edelkrone through edelkrone.com.
